Enviro learning encouragements and inspires learning that is experimental, holistic, and integrated across the curriculum. It develops ecological principles and diverse idea to design and carry out sustainable actions for the environment. Enviro learning at Te Pahū School offers both Māori and Pākehā perspectives and knowledge across and within the curriculum.
Enviro learning creates a healthy, peaceful, sustainable world through people teaching and learn gin together. Enviro learning encourages a student directed process of exploration, decision making, action and reflection. Thought our Enviro learning there sits five guiding principals/ Ngā Mātāpono; empowered students, sustainable communities, learning for sustainability, Māori perspectives and respect for the diversity of people and culture.
Enviro learning fosters Kaitiakitanga, learning the principles of caring for our environment through Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga, having an impact and making a difference. Through Wairua Auaha, fostering curiosity, we endeavour to develop critical, creative and reflective thinkers. Hauora acknowledges and celebrates the values and beliefs of ourselves and others within Enviro Learning.
